first off i have a real bad dust allergy so im looking for someone to remove the carpet in my room for me so i dont have to do it my self and replace it with either tile or hardwood floor..i live in brooklyn ny..does anyone know about how much this would cost like just a range..i dont want nothing special just removal and a new basic floor the room is 108 square feet with with 5 pieces of furniture and a bed..and about how long it should take?
and is there any precautions or anything i should make sure of in deciding since i do have the bad dust allergy
i really dont care if the flood is wood or tile give me the estimate for whatever would be cheaper

To remove the rug and install tile don’t be surprised if it cost around $2,200.00 maybe higher in N.Y.
Tile budget of about $2.00 per sq. foot

Carpet removal about $200. tied in bundles 3′ or smaller and left on the street for pick up (in NY second pick up is for bulk items and they only have to take up to 6 pieces)
Laminate flooring $7-10/square ft. supply and installed (my preference)
vinyl commercial tile $3-5 / s.f.
You may need a sub floor for the vinyl tile, it depends on the condition and type of floor under the carpet.
You should pick up a corner of the carpet and see what you have below. You may be surprised to find some nice oak flooring that has been covered for 40 years.
